MillvilleWx
Got to see some amazing lightning tonight. Unfortunately there was a fatal accident east bound 70 near Hancock. Been sitting here for 2 hours near the front, but it looks like it could be another hour. The fatalities were a truck driver and a son and mother in the car. midatlanticweather
Awesome storm! Intense lightning, heavy winds, hail (penny and nickel sized) - best storm of the season! Electric show still ongoing!

yoda
Hopefully these storms can leave some sort of boundary for the afternoon storms to develop from
StudentOfClimatology
Was just woken up by what felt like a wall of wind. Gf and I both sprung up at the same time.
MDstorm
In the middle of this storm. Rattling the house. Incredible thunder/lightening and torrential rain. Brief gusts of wind.

MDphotog
Same storm that has been working through everyone else finally made it to Glen Burnie and Baltimore. Intense light show going on here now. Great storm and should add by the time I shut down the computer and wrote this post, storm has already moved on. Fast little sucker.
mappy
Nickel size hail and didn't even get hit by the core of the storm. Hail was so loud for 30 seconds stood strait up in bed out of a dead sleep. Yeah that storm just skirted me north, but tons of lightning for 345am
WxUSAF
That was an intense storm around 5am. Hail, constant lightning and heavy rain. Was pretty brief though, maybe only 20 minutes long or so.
EastCoast NPZ
There is an incredible light show off to my west. Not sure it'll get here, but I've never seen such frequent lightning. It's incredible. Nope, stayed just north of me. Got .04" as my reward for being awoken at 3 AM.
snowfan
Not a drop here and didn't even hear anything.
wxdude64
Nothing here rain or storm wise, just much more humidity in the air. Currently 63.4 and DP of 61.4. Low was 61.2, 5 to 7 degrees warmer than past 3 or 4 mornings.
MN Transplant
Not a drop here and didn't even hear anything. Same. Evidently gusted to 20mph with the outflow boundary, so that's something.
mappy
Same. Evidently gusted to 20mph with the outflow boundary, so that's something. the storms stayed north -- out of WV, northern Loudon, through Columbia, into Baltimore City and continued north into DE. however, looks like places that were missed this morning are under a slight risk for storms this afternoon. AmericanWxFreak
That was an intense storm around 5am. Hail, constant lightning and heavy rain. Was pretty brief though, maybe only 20 minutes long or so. Can confirm. It's funny that my two best storms this season have been between 3-5am. That's how you know this season hasn't been the most exciting.
RIC_WX
The storm was intense, woke me up from a dead sleep. PWS says .15", but I assume it didn't catch the sideways rain. Easily the most intense nocturnal storm in many years, even our community FB page is lit up this morning...mostly with superficial reports due to wind. clueless
Did not pay attention. So much for zero chance of precipitation. Got nailed. Patio furniture tossed around, pots overturned. Patio table needs to be replaced as all hinges were pried off. Scary storm, man.

T. August
It was really meh here, with only .02" of rain. It appears I was just a few miles too far north. Looks like Friday might be a washout, with the NAM showing 1-1.5" of rain with temps 61-65F in the afternoon. The GFS is a miss south, and bone dry. The GEM, however, is actually wetter than the NAM and showing widespread 2-4" amounts on Friday. The GEM's temps aren't as cool as the NAM's for Friday afternoon, but still much below average at mid-upper 60s.
mitchnick
Not a drop here and didn't even hear anything. wow, what a cutoff BWI says .23" fell, but it sure seemed like more imby a couple miles north of it

I'd take a splash today and then a soaker on Friday and call it good.

high risk
GFS continues being really south with the heavy precip in the 12z cycle, but it sure looks to be an outlier relative to other guidance.
