CAPE
I am really starved for a good boomer. I mean some seriously raucous thunder and vivid lightning. Even though we had alot of rain early in the summer, there wasnt much good thunder. Maybe once I got a good gusty t-storm. Lately even decent rain has been hard to come by. Lame. After the really wet June that produced over 6.5" here, I had 2.4" in July, and just over 2" so far for August, with an inch of that falling today. Hopefully more to come later tonight into tomorrow. 87storms
In my area it was actually more meh than I originally thought it would be when I said it looked like it was meh'ing. Mostly just a passing shower. Better than nothing though.

dailylurker
Weather always humbles me. I was kinda bummed out about not getting any storms. Im Sitting on the couch watching tv when suddenly I hear pouring rain, then BOOM,Thunder. Storm pops up right over my house. It's been dumping rain for about 15 minutes. It's even starting to flood the yard. More thunder just to my west. I love weather!

Second year sod in the backyard, don't know whether to just let it go like the rest of the yard or try to keep it going. Gotta try to keep it going! That cell to the south grew just enough north to get me into some decent downpours, so I grabbed another 0.31" to go with 0.16" from overnight. I haven't kept an ongoing lot of my monthly total, but I've probably nickeled and dimed a bit over 1".
