mattie g
If those storms can fire up out along I-81, then we may get into something here in the DC area. If not... EastCoast NPZ
Had a 2-minute light shower. Never even fully wet the ground. 10-minutes later now, partly sunny and ground completely dry. Sky just to the east is black as night. eta officially 0.01" huge thunder now as that line explodes off to my east. **** me.
high risk
hard to say. to get the big totals, you needed to get in on the pre-frontal action earlier. But that line to the west is moving into a moist and unstable atmosphere around DC. The progressive nature of the line will likely prevent really big totals (and the HRRR QPF is *not* impressive), but it's tough to ignore the PWs. And the HRRR keeps instability around through 2am or so, and some of the runs want to initiate a final round on the cold front just after midnight. We should(?) get some rain but I doubt it will be very much around here.

NAM was always fairly cautious on the big totals down here.. it focused more northern MD and north whereas the GFS and Euro had widespread 1-1.5" event or so for the whole area. 87storms
dews in the 70s are not comfortable. i don't mind humidity when there's cloud cover. i thought it was pretty nice, generally speaking, certainly better than what the forecast showed a few days ago. CAPE
1.02" of rain in the rain gauge here. Was literally nothing at work in Easton, but I was watching the radar and saw I was getting slammed pretty good at home with multiple lines of heavy showers. Was a bit surpsied to see an inch though. Good to see wet soil again.
