Gilbertfly
The morning feels refreshing like a nice cool shower after a hard day's work on a hot day...crisp blue skies with low puff balls
Chitown Storm
40s and even a few upper 30s this morning in northern MN. Low 50s in the normal UHI areas around the metro. Cool, crisp autumn air in August.

cyclone77
Phenomenal weather today. Mid 70s, upper 40 dews, nice breeze, and deep blue/haze-less sky.
Gilbertfly
In the spring upper 60s feels nice....late in the summer, upper 60s feels nice...around 70 is a good temp. I dig the extremes too in their proper places seasonally...Quality feel to today though
IWXwx
The LAF and ex-LAF guys should be happy, IND announced on their Facebook page that they calibrated the Purdue Airport ASOS today. They also said that the tipping bucket was clogged.
ingyball
Hi, I'm ingyball. I have come from the storm2k forums, where I use the name theprofessor, because I didn't see many discussions for the great lakes area. I have lived in North Texas for all 18 years of my life, but I'm moving to Columbus, Ohio where I will be starting college at The Ohio State and I will be majoring in Atmospheric Science. Geos
Hello & Welcome Ingyball! A brisk 56° already and its not even midnight yet. UGN going to go low tonight I think. ...probably below guidance. High of 71° late in the afternoon after the sun came out. Coolest day since July 16th.
Geos
Mid 70s, bit of a lake breeze today. Pretty boring weather, but it's really nice being outside. Low of 52° this morning.

Jonger
Incredible albeit boring weather coming up August 15th through September 15th is probably the most pleasant weather of the year. Not exactly fun to follow though. The end of Sept usually brings a few long stratiform rain events.
IWXwx
Incredible albeit boring weather coming up Agree, although I might be able to sneak in a strong storm Sunday afternoon. Other than that, day after day of Chamber of Commerce weather.
Geos
Nice graphic from Skilling full of info. Did not know the lake cooled that much. Nice recovery in Lake levels as well. Edit: You can really feel the effect of the cool water hugging the coastline today on this side of the lake. 60s within 2 miles of the shore. 74°-75° here 4 miles inland. Boring day, but beautiful outside.
Jonger
Sucks that I work the whole weekend, it's probably the last nice weekend in Grand Haven. The warm water is piled up on the shore, one good storm or a week of cool weather will probably kill it.
cyclone77
Nice day again today. A little warmer and slightly more humid than the past several, but the strong south breeze keeps it very nice. Looking forward to some Plains sloppy seconds later tonight.

cyclone77
Picked up 0.02" rain early this morning. Cold front has blasted through, and the dews have dropped back into the lower 50s. Deep blue sky and gusty westerlies is going to make for a fantastic day.

Trent
46.9 degrees, moderate rain and windy....! august wut? I saw this map that showed the most common high temperature by 10 degree group (for example, 30s, 40s, 50s, etc). In the UP, the most frequent group was 30s, for Detroit and extreme SE Michigan it was the 80s. The UP basically had the coldest "most freqent" high temp grouping in the continental U.S.
