CoastalWx
Take a guess how high temps would be and dews if euro op and ens verify next week and beyond. Just take a wild guess 16-18C at 850? Maybe 90-93? That sounds unheard of in August. Luckily we may be a few shy of those 850 temps come January.

CoastalWx
You can have a period of warm to hot weather in August which I even stated, but calling it a WAR wouldn't be correct.

CoastalWx
It's easy to say psychosis, but it's a weather forum and just stating facts. If I saw a pig ridge parked off SC for days, I'd bow to Jerry.

CoastalWx
It is. You'll always have a transient ridge in the western Atlantic at times. However, this feature actually retros into the Plains. To claim a warm August because of a feature that last a few days isn't correct IMO. I know what you were originally saying, and you are right that it happens sometimes..I just don't see it lasting for 2 weeks or so. If it does, I salute you. weathafella
I admit to being flippant but when I see the op model with a 594 contour in the western Atlantic 2 runs in a row I get excited..lol. Euro ensembles look pretty toasty d 5-10.

Looks like a 5-7day period of 90+ at torch spots and dews starting as early as Monday Though i still contend the 2nd half of this month into Sept will be remembered for how humid it is as opposed to high heat
