You'll always have a transient ridge in the western Atlantic at times. However, this feature actually retros into the Plains. To claim a warm August because of a feature that last a few days isn't correct IMO.  I know what you were originally saying, and you are right that it happens sometimes..I just don't see it lasting for 2 weeks or so. If it does, I salute you.

I admit to being flippant but when I see the op model with a 594 contour in the western Atlantic 2 runs in a row I get excited..lol.

Euro ensembles look pretty toasty d 5-10.

Looks like a 5-7day period of 90+ at torch spots and dews starting as early as Monday

 

Though i still contend the 2nd half of this month into Sept will be remembered for how humid it is as opposed to high heat
