TauntonBlizzard2013
As a follow up to my comment about my car being hit earlier. Do I have any type of action I can take, or am I sh*t out of luck?? I was able to buff some of the scrapes and scratches out, but there is still a significant portion where the paint was taken off. Really, I need a new back bumper is what it will ultimately come down to if I were to fix it. The other problem is, while I'm pretty sure It happened at school, I didn't notice until I got home later today, and I also visited my GF at work briefly. Is it worth going to the police department at school and filing some sort of report? Or is that a waste of time? At this point, unless I walk around all the parking lots at school looking for someone who may have damage on their car that could fit, I have no way of knowing who did it. Does it pretty much just boil down to I'm screwed? I don't have the money to pay the deductible on my insurance to get it fixed (like I want to do that anyway, it wasn't my fault). This will no doubt hurt the resale value of the car when I go to sell it, and it looks bad
ORH_wxman
Nice. I pick up 200 feet of elevation with the move! Thats worth a decent amount right now the coast there. Elevation gradient is tighter the closer you are (look at how much more Blue Hill gets than 500 feet lower). You probably get about 3 inches extra per 100 feet. You probably push 50" per year there if you are 250 feet.

Ginx snewx
Been doing some historical research for my general areas snowfall. Normal seems to be 48 to 52, since I moved here in Nov 2000 I have recorded 997 inches so the last 15 years I have averaged 66.5. Big years lately have really been special, forever grateful to have had my dream Feb 34 shattered. Whenever regression to the means begins I am at peace with it, however I would dig a 93 superstorm again. Lets do this

Called the police, they did a report but nothing more that they could do about it. Got a copy of the report and sent it to my insurance company and no hit on my insurance as it was not my fault. J Paul Gordon
Some of us (most of us) love winter because it is meterologically the most interesting time of year here. Some of us love it simply because we prefer the cold, the snow, the winter light, etc. over any other season. I'm a die hard winter guy.... yeah, -10F and a strong northwest breeze can be a challenge, but I'll take it any time over 85F with a dp of 70. I'm at that point in summer where most people are at the beginning of a frigid March following weeks of cold and snow. I just want to know when the f this is gonna end? Where's the cool down? mreaves
Nice that's some sneaky elevation. Didn't realize you were that high. Yeah, it rises up to just over 2000' a couple of miles east. It's an easy drive to get several different precip type during mixed bag events. Start as rain down in S. Barre at 750', mixed precip at my place a mile and a half up the road and then get into snow another couple of miles up the road at 1900'-200'. All in the same town. I knew that the E.F. Knapp Airport (KMPV) was at 1150' or so but never really trusted the elevation tracking app on my phone so I guess that has been confirmed now. ORH_wxman
Wait, people get sick and tired of cold and snow? Who? I want names. Lol. Actually I would say at least a quarter to a third of this forum expresses their desire for spring by the time we get to March. I personally could handle it 10 months of the year. By the time we get to September though, I am not longing for 55/30 days either. I hate that wx. I'd love to go straight from 70 highs to 35 highs. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Though I will admit there is something special about that first frost of the season when leaves are changing.
