Was hoping to hit 95 for the first time since July 2013, but it didn't happen. I think we could have another shot at anomalous heat in the first half of September. CIK62
RE: Danny---Difference bet. 0Z and 06Z is that Danny's right hand turn now comes 7degs. farther north and 4 degs. farther west than earlier run, but still short of Cape Hatteras. If trend continues a new topic should be started for possible effects here around Sept. 01-03,

bluewave
Its just bound to happen with the dryness. Its only a matter of when not if the deluge occurs. The storm motion is only forecast to be 8KT with PW's of 2.00" or greater. So spots around the region can do very well if they end up under the best training. Even if the system landfalls in the Carolina's there is no guarantee we'll see anything. That's already happened once this season. Right now lets just get the system North of the islands. dWave
Today is the 41st straight day of 80+ in the Park. Tied for 2nd longest. How much longer can it go? Look likes 80s till the end of the month with a few days right around 80 with rain which would be a close call. If it makes it past that then all time record..around 53 (I think?) could be in play? Interesting how its one of the longest 80+ streaks ever but still below avg amount of 90 degree days.
