Gusting. This might need a severe warning.

 

It looks like there was a brief  40 mph+ microburst signature over Brooklyn on the JFK radar.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT CENTRAL NASSAU...QUEENS AND

KINGS COUNTIES...

AT 231 PM EDT...A COUPLE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS THAT HAVE RECENTLY

FORMED OVER THE AREA WILL SLOWLY PUSH SOUTH AND EAST.

A WIND GUST OR TWO IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH IS POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM.

FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS.

LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE 15 MILES AWAY FROM A THUNDERSTORM. SEEK A SAFE

SHELTER INSIDE A BUILDING OR VEHICLE.
