cyclone77
We happen to have 10 sounding sites in our sub, so I thought it would be cool to see how they rank based on actual observed surface cape. Of course many potential soundings probably slipped through the cracks over the years due to a variety of reasons. However, here's how actual data sampled ranks by site. All this data is comprised from one of the SPC archive pages. The graphs below are pretty cool, as you can see the peak cape values by month. #1 ILX (Lincoln IL) 8325j/kg #2 DVN (Davenport IA) 7891j/kg #3 SGF (Springfield MO) 7353j/kg #4 MPX (Minneapolis MN) 7147j/kg #5 ILN (Wilmington OH) 6267j/kg

Hoosier
Nice. Once again makes me wish that there was a RAOB site in Indiana.
