SouthernNJ
Since there is not a specific thread yet, I will put one up so that these events can be separated from other observations.
SouthernNJ
The line of storms moving through has had strong winds in northern Berks from the bookend feature, and now moving into Pottstown, Phoenixville, and Coatesville. Wouldn't be surprised to see between 60 to 70 mph gusts continue along the line.
Hurricane Agnes
Somebody is getting rocked and rolled because I am here some pretty deep rumbling thunder.
Voyager
Got the shaft up here. The incoming line broke up and collapsed to the south. No wind and just a few rumbles of thunder along with about .40" of rain. A real dud...
ChescoWx
Top wind gusts (sheltered) only 13mph with the line of storms here in NW Chesco....heavy rain though as vantage pro (under done) shows over 1.02" during last 40 minutes. I will go out shortly and measure actual rain in coco bucket. High today was 79.6 (of course no 90+ days here this summer and none expected) down to 74.0 now
Hurricane Agnes
Got a rain "white out" going right now. The leading edge coming in over my area.
JTA66
Heavy rain with a bolt of lightning that just struck close by (jump out of my seat!). Not much wind though. I'd say 20-25mph tops.
hazwoper
Wow! Just had a bolt explode in my backyard. Saw the orange explsion at the base of the bolt. Insane!!!
Hurricane Agnes
Over 3/4" of rain so far in the area. The winds were (fortuntely so far) not as dramatic as that last severe. Mt. Holly threw up a warning.
Plokoon111
Pretty good 5 minute winds, just rain and rumbles.
Hurricane Agnes
Getting a "round 2" from the bizarre configuration on the radar. This time much more lightning and thunder to it and another gully washer "white out". This will probably take us over the 1" mark.
Plokoon111
Apparently a tornado sighting in Berks County. Video on facebook somewhere, I believe Cecily posted it.
Hurricane Agnes
Still raining lightly but the back edge is coming through now with clearing to the west. A lot of ponding on the roads around here and some minor urban street flooding. Looks like there's a blob back over Harrisburg but that my stay north of here. Treckasec
More bark than bite, not sure why the severe thunderstorm warning was issued. It looks pretty good on radar, but winds not really mixing to surface...Hey whoa wait a second! Suspicious couplet.
Hurricane Agnes
KLOM reporting 1.68". Around here it's running about 1 1/4 - 1 1/3". KYW traffic was mentioning that parts of I-76 had right lane flooding. That line is holding together pretty firmly across Jersey.
RedSky
A big dud here with brief heavy shower and couple flashes

Treckasec
Funny, called it before the warning. The couplet passed about 4 miles to my south. It got pretty tight and strong for a little bit. Even Correlation Coefficient showed possible debris. Must of been quite interesting in the battle zone. I wish that couplet wasn't so far c;
Treckasec
Frequent lightning is a severe storm parameter. Not if the storm is accompanied by severe storm criteria. Lots of lightning alone is probably only enough to warrant a special weather statement.
wederwarrior
Got nailed with huge downpour and white winds here. Rivers formed in my yard

Lots of lightning alone is probably only enough to warrant a special weather statement. You are correct. Just looked it up. Could of swore years ago frequent lightning was a criteria for severe warned storm. Hmmm
