rolltide_130
I'm thinking the cell near Davenport could be the first to go. Beginning to show the tell-tell hook and is moving into the better shear dynamics over Illinois. Not to mention it's pulling a boundary right into the inflow. Chicago WX
I'm probably the only one in here NOT rooting for their BY to get hit by any of these storms. Anyways, cell that entered Kankakee County has weakened. Getting the old spits of rain with the sun shining kind of deal right now. Looking upstream though, our luck will probably run out later this evening/tonight.
David Reimer
Storm NW of DVN starting to hook... nvm... looks like its behind outflow... That OFB is less then a mile 'ahead' of the hook. It would not take much for that OFB to get sucked back in and help enhanced rotation.
OceanStWx
Storm NW of DVN starting to hook... nvm... looks like its behind outflow... Yeah, it's going to need to catch up to the outflow before it does anything tornadic. It's not like it's that far away though. Should be a great view from the WFO. Quincy
All of the 170-190° wind obs in the eastern half of IL are pretty distressing. Didn't fully expect that, and if that Grundy/Will cell takes off, it's going to be really bad. That cell is Ottawa is trying and may eventually take advantage of that environment. Chicago Storm
Too bad we couldn't see an ACARS sounding out of ORD to see how much capping is still in place. Cause no doubt there still some given activity continues to struggle.
