First SVR warning from the main afternoon/evening/night threat.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LA CROSSE HAS ISSUED A

 

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...

  SOUTHWESTERN TREMPEALEAU COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN...

  SOUTHERN BUFFALO COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN...

 

* UNTIL 415 PM CDT

 

* AT 314 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED NEAR BUFFALO

  CITY...OR 11 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ALMA...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

 

  HAZARD...60 MPH WIND GUSTS AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL. 

 

  SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED. 

 

  IMPACT...HAIL DAMAGE TO VEHICLES IS EXPECTED. EXPECT WIND DAMAGE 

           TO ROOFS...SIDING AND TREES. 

 

* THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR...

  FOUNTAIN CITY AROUND 325 PM CDT.

  WINONA AROUND 335 PM CDT.

  TREMPEALEAU AND GALESVILLE AROUND 410 PM CDT.

Could be getting something trying near Cedar Rapids... Cross section shows tops of near 40KFT. Can it break the cap though?

 

She's a tryin'.  Westernmost cells will be absolute beasts.  The Roanoke cell was the westernmost sup.  Not saying that is going to be the case today, but something to consider.
