Eskimo Joe
Not sure we hit 90F here today; 850 mb temperatures are only around 18C. That plus the sunshine being filtered through high clouds and low level pollutants in the LSV.

Superstorm
Lots of CTG lightning, close strikes and snap crackling thunder. Two waves kept me up a good portion of night. Always kinda interesting when your dreaming of thunder and it really is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
canderson
I did see some lightning off in the distance around midnight but we got nada.

Eskimo Joe
This seems to be the summer of elevated nocturnal convection. We didn't have a breath of wind and a nice steady rain for a bit between 1:30 - 3:00 am. Decent light show I guess, but lightning always seems more dramatic at night. The muted, rolling thunder and lack of wind was a dead giveaway that it was all elevated.
canderson
BTW things look to cool off this weekend and from my bad at reading maps for temps eye it doesn't look to really get too warm for the next 10 days.
Santa Clause
I'm sure some are fans, but to me this summer has been extremely boring. No real good severe to speak of, not real rain storms(here at least) and the temps have been mainly seasonal. Looks like this will go down as a blehhh severe season.
