PennMan
4 storms from 12:15AM to 8:15AM here. Some very impressive cg lightning strikes right in town with all of them, especially last night. Exactly 2.00" of rain for the day.
Voyager
Nothing like a close-in, instantaneous flash/boom to get the blood flowing in the morning! Wow... Found out that this one was a strike not more than about 30 yards from my back door, as it struck this tree on the street right behind my house. PennMan
Sweet. Looks like Harrisburg's morning low was 77°, which will be a new record high min if it holds until midnight tonight. Meanwhile, State College failed to hit 90° Saturday or Sunday (87° and 88°, respectively), meaning our streak continues at 677 days. Both days did manage 90° in town here in Bellefonte, however. Jns2183
Great light display in Harrisburg with that line of storms coming in from the northwest. Looks like they really blew up the last hour. Was hoping someone here could answer a question of mine about the 2 pictures below. I'm assuming all the green out in front is inflow into the storm. Am I correct? canderson
Crazy lightning and thunder. Haven't seen this much lightning in a single storm here in a few years.
Jns2183
Been out on my porch the last hour enjoying the approach of these. It seems like they really exploded coming out of the mountains. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
canderson
Yikes lightning just hit something and everything here surged. That was extremely close.
Jns2183
It seems like to me most of the great thunder and lightning storms we get around here are late night or predawn. I wonder why Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

MillvilleWx
I might need a new pair of pants after the thunder that woke me out of a deep sleep here in Hagerstown. Good lord almighty. I thought a bomb went off in my neighborhood. Anyway, impressive night for Lightning.
sauss06
I haven't seen a storm like that in awhile. WOW!! It seemed like the ligtning strikes were never ending and talk about LOUD, sounded like a bowling ball rolling across the ridge top.
Jns2183
I figured the storms up north would have died off as we lost the heating last evening. They seemed to do that until about 30-40 miles Northwest of Harrisburg and then everything just blew up. I figure there was still a lot of energy untapped in this area. Anyone know what the CAPE still was here last night? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Voyager
Somehow, nearly all of last nights festivities missed the Tamaqua area. We had about 0.30" of rain, but not much lightning or thunder. Areas to the east of me had close to 5 inches of rain according to the flood warnings that came out.
