Solak
In the city of Bandar Mahshahr (population of about 110,000 as of 2010), the air felt like a searing 154 degrees (67.8 Celsius) today, factoring in the humidity. Its actual air temperature was 109 degrees (42.8 Celsius) with an astonishing dew point temperature of 90 (32.2 Celsius). (If you use NOAA’s calculator, that actually computes to a heat index of 159 degrees). http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/wp/2015/07/30/iran-city-hits-suffocating-heat-index-of-154-degrees-near-world-record/

Snowless in Carrollton
Is the dry air ever going to make it go ATL ? Dewpoint of 71 in ATL and 54 in BHAM. It seems like its taking 24 hours for the dry air to make it from AL to GA.

jburns
In other news, Katharine is currently swimming off the NC coast. Who is Katharine you ask? Researchers captured the 14-foot, 2,300-pound great white shark in August 2013 offCape Cod, fitted her dorsal fin with a satellite tracking device and dubbed her "Katharine."
