CT Valley Snowman
Scooter nailed this one. ML fronto/ deform band in northern areas of SNE, convection SW coastal areas and points south and a whole lot of meh in between.
IsentropicLift
Didn't even have Thunder down here. The rain was briefly heavy, still a decent drink.
CoastalWx
Well I was completely wrong about the pike and my area. The heavier def band was at the pike. Totally thought I would escape with meh and heaviest either north or south. We had a ton of rain. Little sucker had some punch.

Some heavy rain.IJD with 0.1"...so there's a gradient in there haha.
moneypitmike
Yeah, wow at ORH with 1.60" overnight...even 0.71" in an hour. Some heavy rain. IJD with 0.1"...so there's a gradient in there haha. Nice., .90 at the Pit, 1.83" on the month. Seem to be on track for another normal to AN month. Soon, we'll be seeing the average temps backing down. Already perceiving the later sunrise. Not paying enough attention to notice sunset, but mornings are so ritualized, that 10 minute shift is the difference between being pouring the second cup vs. waiting for the pot to finish perking. CT Valley Snowman
.60 here.. You had to have had more..Congrats About .75. It was a late bloomer and radar clearly showed most two distinct areas that Scooter mentioned, but the northern area expanded further south and intensified more than I expected. weathafella
Definitely a soaker albeit a short one. I think BOS had something like 1.27 in just a few hours.

It was just a narrow band. I thought this would be a bit north earlier in the day. But otherwise meh in most spots, just not the pike. A good 2" here I think. CoastalWx
There was also plenty of elevated convection. Forecast worked out well overall It was only a narrow area. Widespread soaking of Over 1" was overblown. That narrow area happened to be near pike and curves to SE ma.
CoastalWx
Pretty cool actually. Look at storm total QPF. That deformation band was handled by HRRR well in aftn until it lost it in the evening. That whole area sunk south like we talked about. And also NJ convection went south instead if getting NYC and a coast. So, move everything north and the meh zone in CT and RI would have been up to pike and even nrn mass. Pretty cool how these things usually behave. That nrn end did a lot better than I envisioned too. Must have been a nice tight little s/w. Cool stuff.
CT Valley Snowman
There was also plenty of elevated convection. Forecast worked out well overall I'M sure the people in the IJD area feel that way after a whopping .10. Most of CT got shafted. Flood watches dropped 4 hours before the event.
