Geos
Down to 74°/65° now with gusty westerly winds. Just over the 18" mark for the year now for moisture. Today was only the second 80° high this month - crazy!

First time in 20yrs creek by house crested hill and made it to my fence. Did get tornado warning for cell about 8 miles south of me. No confirmation of touch down. I think i've mowed my lawn about 25 times so far this year... its been growing non stop since about April with regular rains that keep falling. Hoosier
Med/long range looks downright hot by this year's standards, though as usual, will have to watch for storm complexes muting the heat.

Geos
Air mass has totally changed here. More comfortable and down around the upper 60s now close to the lake. Had a little mist earlier, but it never stormed at all. High of 77° earlier.
Chitown Storm
81/66 here now. Still muggy but tolerable. Won't be turning the AC off though. I miss the LM lake breeze that provides relief once in a while. Heat index back near or above 100 on Saturday.

Geos
Thought this was a cool picture of the warmest day of the year on average That is really cool! Interesting that right along the lake here there is pockets of July 16-20th color. Very nice out there tonight. Nice and breezy from the northeast. High of 78° early afternoon. Down near 60° now. Geos
Found this article quite interesting, especially when it comes to number of cloudy days near the lake. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2015/07/13/map-where-americas-sunniest-and-least-sunny-places-are/ Would have thought areas along the lake would have had more cloudy days than counties inland. cyclone77
A few upper 40s for dews showing up in southeast WI/northeast IL now. That's gotta be extremely refreshing after yesterday. Still holding in the mid 60s out this way, but that's much better than yesterday.

michsnowfreak
Even though the high of 83F was still a degree below normal, due to a mild low (67), yesterday squeaked out a departure of +1F at DTW. This is the first not cooler than normal day since June 23, when the departure was also +1F. Once again feels like a breezy September morning. We look to finally see a few legit warmer than normal days this weekend, but still what a refreshing summer!
Chitown Storm
Some small cells firing around the metro this morning despite no mention of rain at all by MPX. Looks like the next few days thru the weekend are going to be wet. Big totals depicted by some of the models with some nice instability.

It's an extremely remote area so I doubt it affects too many. Lots of upper 30's and low 40's this summer for me. Jonger
Top shelf day.... I would take this weather every day between April 1st and November 30th if I could. Blue sky and 69F on July 15th.... Life is good!

ClicheVortex2014
Southern and Midwestern heat wave and northwestern troughs in the medium to long-range forecast... sure doesn't seem like a Nino. But maybe since we've never had Super Nino forcing in the summer, this is what happens.
CanadianGuy
Classic lake breeze day in sw Ontario. Low 60s by the lake, 74 imby, upper 70s farther inland. It is very sunny out and not that muggy today! This weekend is looking pretty hot, though.
cyclone77
Had a nice break from the humidity today. Woke up to dews in the mid 50s this morning, which felt great. They've crept back up into the 60s this afternoon, but still pretty comfortable.
