tmagan Posted July 30, 2015 Share Posted July 30, 2015 are those false returns south of LI? The OKX radar detects something (that looks like rain) directly east of Point Pleasant NJ. Tnd the DIX radar does not detect anything there. It looks like it is mostly clear with cirrus clouds in that area. Those are false returns, happens all the time in summer with warm humid air over the ocean. Notice the echos by and large remain over the same place.
