Best storm of the year, with the rotation passing maybe 10 miles to my sw.

I'm on the southeast side of ann arbor, a few miles due east of the airport, and there was some very strange wind shifting going on with a series of 3-4 separate transformer flashes to my southwest. If anything happened, I'm thinking it was between here and Saline. Definitely the gnarliest storm here - moreso than even the Dexter 3/15/12 tornado which was a terrible hailfest but did not have the tremendous wind driven rain shifts or the power flashes (plus was during the day).

You could tell when this storm blew in it was different. The wind kept shifting around on the initial gust front.

No damage or anything here, but that was one intense thunderstorm. Some of the most prolific lightning and heavy rain that I've seen in a storm.

That DTX sounding delivered. Looks like  damage might be limited to what is some of the least populated area in Washtenaw County, so that's a plus. As close as I want to experience a storm like that in my home anyway. I will admit I saw the power flashes, realized visibility was way too low to be on the second floor, and rode out the rest from my basement.
