AT 1042 PM EDT...A LARGE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TORNADO WAS LOCATED OVER DECKERVILLE...MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. Wow. Those are very, very strong words from DTX. The way this line of supercells is set up is almost perfectly identical to July 2nd, 1997. Not to make comparisons, it just is very eerie to see these radar scans and think back to being a kid and watching that. Even down to the rotation in the same spots. Torchageddon
Dave Patrick is reporting a rain wrapped tornado on the ground near Goderich, Ontario. And then EC warned it 26 minutes later, how typical! I knew just watching the skies this evening and all the erratic motion there would be a tornado somewhere in Ontario...this is very different. I saw rising motion into the storm for the first time too. Lots of clusters and its moving very rapidly (changing). I'm now under a tornado warning or just about to be put under one, there is a very powerful cell that formed over Lake Huron somehow and its moving near my area. wxman1952
A confirmed tornado was reported 10 miles southwest of me, phewww that was close enough. We di get some rain as the line passed but it seemed to slit some as it passed area and reform and spawn the tornado pass me. I wonder if Hemlock Semiconductor, a plant with lots of electrical etc; could do anything with he atmosphere to split storms. Quite often I seen storms split as hey move through the county. hmmmm
