Torchageddon
Yet another time waste tracking this event. Well at least I didn't check the SPC page until late Saturday night so less time was wasted, I should have passed on the check and pretended that 2015 isn't valid (and now I know it isn't!). I hate Chicago severe weather.. I really, really hate Chicago severe weather. What Chicago severe weather? The point about only a OK on a Wednesday bang and the Rochelle EF4 tornado is spot on, just a sad joke.
andyhb
Lol 30/20 probs, about as lame as you can get with a tornado watch.
jojo762
30/20 probs btw.. lmao. Pretty low-end... Hoosier
Will get an updated image soon but CAPE of 3000 nearing I-80 in IN and parts of northeast IL. This could still rise a bit. As has been discussed, the clouds/convection in IA/IL have really thrown a wrench in things.

andyhb
Well, looks like another dud of an event. 2015ing as usual. Next year guys, next year! I'm sure it will just get worse, going by the whole 2012-2015 slide.

Powerball
I'm sure it will just get worse, going by the whole 2012-2015 slide. The soaking wet Plains, lake waters with still well below average temps and the lack of death ridges pretty much guarantees that...

Quincy
Tornado watch all the way to Kane county?? I don't agree with thatHave to think the greatest tornado threat, by far, is across the western half of the watch. More of a wind threat on the east side. Hoosier
No doubt that LOT would've had input on that tornado watch. I believe RC is working today so not sure if he'll be able to drop in and explain.

cyclone77
Over 40kft north of Waterloo now as well. Mid 70 degree dews fairly widespread now. Even north of the OFB in northern IL we have low 70s. Steep lapse rates overhead. It's still looking pretty good to me.
