SchaumburgStormer
Looks like these storms are moving. Should clear out nicely by 12-1 pm and have plenty of time to recover, especially LOT.

MattPetrulli
Despite the MCS, the atmosphere should be able to recover quickly and give out a pretty good day for tornadoes.
Hoosier
The wake low winds earlier this morning over southwest MN/northwest IA are the most impressive I've ever seen. Numerous reports of 65-75mph wind gusts. I think I read somewhere it was actually perhaps a descending rear-inflow jet. Either way whatever it was that has to be some of the most impressive non-thunderstorm wind gusts associated with an MCS that we've seen in these parts. Agreed...more used to seeing maybe 50-60 mph. Chitown Storm
Northern and southern portions of the bow are doing well. The apex is losing strength at least right now. Still cloudy here although a few patches of blue to the west. Things might light up again here this afternoon if we clear out, but W. WI looks better. geddyweather
Warm front beginning to light up. The MCS is may move over a section of highly unstable environment (MLCAPE near 3000j/kg) near the IL/IN border.

Hoosier
Boundary associated with this complex is laying out near I-80 in IA into IL as of now. Could end up sinking south of there but likely not really far. Then the question becomes how quickly does it retreat/wash out.

Chargers09
Looks like the mcs as a whole is starting to disappate, even the rain itself is dying off in IA a bit. Liking the potential for this to lay a boundary down for new storms to touch off. Right along 80.
TheWeatherPimp
Definitely understandable why the SPC concerns had issues upgrading to moderate. Lots of mesoscale challenges today. Lots of potential but still very conditional.
bwfan40
That is definitely one impressive MCS. Here's hoping SW Ontario gets in on the action later this evening.

The weakening state was expected but it's still a large MCS with a well defined MCV and extensive cloud shield. visible still showing clouds with towers back west of Des Moines. We have a longs ways to go before re-loading is on the table.
Hoosier
HRRR already has redevelopment in IA/WI by 19-20z, however it's not doing the greatest job with the ongoing stuff in Iowa right now.
TimChgo9
Wondering if the storms will make it this far, line is weakening on radar, however the southern end of it seems to be holding on okay.

However I think it's a bit better for redevelopment later than the alternative which is a full fledged MCS and rain shield blasting through. Thundersnow12
Nice development along the leading/srn edge just south of 88 now heading east. Would think that continues with it being closer to the better instability
