Headed up to Marist College tomorrow morning with my older son for a prospect baseball camp he was invited to.  Have to be there by 8:30am so will be hitting the road bright and early tomorrow from Monmouth County, NJ to get up there in time. Was originally thinking we would get lucky with the warmer temps but not so much anymore?  Your thoughts up that way?  Also, any good places to eat around that area afterwards? Thanks guys!

I live about 2 minutes from Marist. It all depends on what you're in the mood for. My best all around recommendation would be to go to Mill House Brewing. Very good beer and even better food. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Get the Buffalo fried Brussels Sprouts. I never ate brussels sprouts until I ate those. It's about 5 minutes from Marist. If you are looking for something quicker, then Lola's or Rossi's would be my choices. Rossi's is an authentic italian deli with fantastic sandwiches and Lola's is a high end cafe with a very extensive menu. Both are also about 5 minutes from Marist. Good luck to your son tomorrow! My son is a baseball fanatic but he's only 11. He wants to go to Vanderbilt for college, lol, I told him that's not happening!

Will wait for Mt Holly NWS to update.

You know how to kill the beer buzz.

I've got to get over to Mill House, I hear nothing but good things about them.

Thanks for the tips IrishRob and Chietanan! Wish we had more time but we ended up coming right home. Next time I'm up that way I'll check it out. It only took us about 2 hours to get up there. Nice campus and my son had a pretty good showing in front of the coaches too. We may be back up there for their football camp too. Yeah he's keepin busy. Hahaha Tell your 11 yr old son to keep working hard but to have fun too.

Good for your son. My youngest son had me going all over a couple of years ago for lacrosse and it paid off with a nice athletic scholarship for him. Good luck to your son.

Wow that's awesome! Great to hear! Yeah that's the ultimate goal to get a scholarship, because as you know, the price of tuition is astronomical these days. So all this running around now and working hard will hopefully pay off one day for him. He's still a junior so we still have time, especially for football where they typically offer after their senior season and may offer more than baseball. We shall see. Thanks man!
