JerseyWx
2.26 of rain. Just had a tstorm with hail lol Yeah good soaker for us here. Didn't see hail all Summer, and yet in January we do. Never saw a thunderstorm in January like this. I guess it's fitting when you consider the weather we've been having though.

gravitylover
Yup best squall line in a few years. We were driving on Rt 6 and were in an open area as the worst hit, visibility was about 5 feet because I couldn't see past the end of the hood. As it cleared through the rainbow was awesome. The most vivid colors I've seen in a long time and it doubled for a while here too.

chietanen
Squall line was really impressive here as well. You could hear the hail coming for about 30 seconds before it actually started, and interestingly, it hailed before it started raining (and very briefly at that, no more than 15 seconds or so). Torrential rain followed. A good amount of thunder and lighting as well. Definitely a fun day from a weather standpoint. And at least we got some frozen precip in January! Shot a video of the hail coming in that I posted to twitter: https://twitter.com/DrHietanen/status/686288699261370368
IrishRob17
Put a tent over that banter thread, what a circus. Pretty sad that I'm looking forward to maybe 1" of snow tomorrow but the times are a changin', maybe? We wonder? We hope? It is what it is.
