Juliancolton
Music to our ears: That pattern after day 8 is very conducive to some sort of big storm coming up the coast out of the gulf if the trof can dig enough. The problem is it probably would take a coastal track or close to it based on where that ridge is out west and the trof

mob1
Yeah im down to 25.3 Right now I have very lgt sleet/snow falling. What a weird storm lol It's been pretty much all snow here in Brooklyn for the past 30 minutes, looking at the temperature profile it seems odd as it's not just the intensity that's driving it (it's pretty light snow now) I guess pretty soon the city will go over to rain while you guys up there snail pace your way to freezing. Good luck and enjoy.
dmillz25
Its low level moisture which is -7c so thats why it's snowing here but as the WAA takes over yeah it'll change to rain
JerseyWx
Yeah it's pretty icy here. The first round of sleet turned to solid ice. On top of that is some snow and more sleet. Wind is literally howling, and I hear pinging again.. Hanging around 30°
IrishRob17
1.2" of sleet/snow, which more than doubles last December for me. Light freezing rain now.
gravitylover
Yuck. Looks white because of the snow that mixed in but it's a solid block of ice out there. Accretion on branches is significant and the temp has barely moved above freezing so it's not going anywhere until this mist/fog/drizzle breaks up. snywx
1.6 of snow/sleet here.. Temp 32.
Juliancolton
0.9" of sleet and I'll call it generously 0.1" of ice, now steady rain from lingering low level moisture. Never saw a flake of snow during the event... gross.
NepaJames8602
Picked up roughly 1.5" of sleet. Still trapped at 32 degrees.

UlsterCountySnowZ
No clue on actual measurements, some spots had 2" others a trace, I'd say 1.5" sleet

IrishRob17
Uggh another gloomy day. Just stepping off the side of the driveway is a sloppy affair Yeah, this is rather blah. I'm hoping that the stuff left on my driveway melts off soon.
JerseyWx
Yeah, this is rather blah. I'm hoping that the stuff left on my driveway melts off soon. Luckily it's all melted here, but yeah the weather is just ehh. I feel like this month has had so many gray and foggy days just like this. Whether it was raining or foggy/misty, or just plain overcast, we haven't seen the sun all that much.
gravitylover
Of course, late spring/summer/fall when it was dry I was working so much that I pretty much missed it and didn't get to spend much time outdoors then I get let go at the beginning of this month and it did a complete flip. Such a bummer...

gravitylover
Just to add to the miserable day, it poured for a while about an hour ago and it's still raining. The mud is here to stay until it freezes and then it'll be right back in the spring. My yard is like walking on sponges right now.
Juliancolton
I agree but I'd think you can get some cool fog photos too? Fog photos rarely work out well in my experience. It's great if you can get above a shallow fog layer and capture it as an undercast, or if there's bright sunshine to cast rays of light through the trees. Otherwise you just end up with flat and murky lighting. ...more importantly, all this fog is eating away at my pack! Just to add to the miserable day, it poured for a while about an hour ago and it's still raining. The mud is here to stay until it freezes and then it'll be right back in the spring. My yard is like walking on sponges right now. Deluging here at the moment. 2015 has been using its last breaths to try and chip away at the yearly precip departures.
