THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

SOUTHERN AND WESTERN CONNECTICUT

WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS

NORTHEASTERN NEW JERSEY

EASTERN NEW YORK

MUCH OF VERMONT

COASTAL WATERS

* EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 335 PM UNTIL

900 PM EDT.

* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...

ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE

ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE

SUMMARY...STRONG/SEVERE STORMS CONTINUE TO INCREASE ACROSS EASTERN

NEW YORK AND ADJACENT WESTERN NEW ENGLAND THIS AFTERNOON...WITH

ADDITIONAL INCREASES EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.

DAMAGING WINDS WILL LIKELY BE THE PRIMARY SEVERE RISK WITH THESE

STORMS...ALONG WITH HAIL AND THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ISOLATED TORNADO.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 50

STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF

BURLINGTON VERMONT TO 10 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF NEW YORK CITY

It was pretty good as it went through here.  Buckets of rain, lotsa c2g/thunder and a heckuva gust front as it came in.  Skies getting brighter quickly now.  Good storm  :)

Yeah looked like it got Dutchess County really hard. Shame because that same cell went through here at its weakest point.
