StudentOfClimatology
I'm watching those cells in SW VA east of Lynchburg, and line to the SW. The wind max aloft is still west of us (just reaching the mountains now), but should be nearing/expanding E as these clusters are carried NE. We should have at least some sort of LLJ over us by the time they get here.
Eskimo Joe
Limited instability? LL / ML lapse rates are paltry and we'll be losing the sun soon. Probably will see an evolution to heavy rain with a spin up or two embedded with the main line of storms over the mountains.

Very high dewpoints are expected to maintain instability AOA 1000j/kg this evening. We should be fine. Lapse rates are weak but instability is high.
