dailylurker
The pottomac really enhances these storms that go into SoMD. One of the areas mini-tornado-alleyts.I was just thinking that while looking at it on radar. It want just NW of LaPlata.

SmokeEater
sub-severe winds in southeast Howard County but still very gusty and amazing lightning and torrential rain. and not that it matter at the moment, but SPC really should have gone with a red box here. They've red boxed us in far less impressive setups. They did fine IMO, there's been nothing tornadic reported other then that Charles County cell, and there's no reports of damage coming in on scanner feeds. It is what they called it, a straight line wind event, with brief tornadoes possible.

mattie g
Still raining good here with some more thunder and distant lightning. It doesn't look severe, but the line SW of Burke looks good for some additional heavy rain. Not much of anything except rain to speak of in that line. cwgNAS
Not much of anything except rain to speak of in that line. Really not good for people in Arlington and Falls Church under the Flash Flood Warning. Another 0.5-1" with this line alone, plus the rest of Bill, adding on to the 1.33" I've already recorded.
