...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR SOUTH CENTRAL FREDERICK AND NORTHEASTERN

LOUDOUN COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 800 PM EDT...

THE TORNADO THREAT HAS DIMINISHED...THEREFORE THE TORNADO WARNING HAS

BEEN CANCELLED. HOWEVER...LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS REMAIN LIKELY

AND A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA.

TO REPORT SEVERE WEATHER...CONTACT YOUR NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT

AGENCY. THEY WILL RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE

STERLING VIRGINIA.

 

 

 I still see rotation headed for SE Frederick, it's rain wrapped and looks weaker than before.

Looks like it's gone now. Sounds like there's hail mixing in now, quite a downpour for the last 40 minute.

Would not be surprised if a weak tornado touched down in Manassas

based on the Dulles velocity data at 7:30 PM, although the polygon

made was too big in warning many folks unnecessarily once again. 

The Frederick county storm had its best velocity signature when it

was about 8 miles east of Point of Rocks, but unsure if did the trick.

This 2nd pulse from the Fredericksburg storm has really laid out the rain and thunder here again. Very impressive rates. 1.17 from this event and counting. 2nd line to the SW may push out some flash flooding since it is riding very close behind the initial band. Best of the summer here for sure.
