MarkO
with rotation on radar in that area, I think it's less likely it was straightline / microburst, right?

Hoth
Prolly an EF1 in Plum Island (69mph wind reported) Almost reminds me a little of the Revere storm last summer. Didn't look like much, but then tightened up and dropped a funnel as it approached the coast.
CoastalWx
The Revere one had better rotation. That may be just a good straight line gust on the tail of that.
MarkO
Thinking the same thing. Similar radar signature. I think the Revere one was an EF2, right? But unlike Revere, I haven't seen any photos posted yet on social media. Of course many more folks live in Revere

OceanStWx
Revere was a very tight couplet, and a debris signature. This was rotating, but it was not tight by any means.

OceanStWx
Still have no idea why they have a watch until 4pm for 4 states. We're trying to figure out what to do with it now. I would prefer dropping and reissuing once the stuff gets closer for this afternoon (SPC WRF saying like 21-22z). But I think SPC is thinking workload/lead time issues. It's a bit of a cluster thanks to the two batches.

Damage In Tolland
If they reissue one it most certainly should be a TOR watch given how quickly things are escalating

That's great an outhouse on plum Island had 69mph, but confusing for the other 99.9999% of the area.

Things will get going, it's just how severe are they going to be. Wind seems likely, tornado still possible.

OceanStWx
Considering we just had one touch down in the frozen North Atlantic I mean it crossed the warm front which was hung up on the coast thanks to 50 degree water, so it makes sense.
