I think the long-lingering early convection put a lid on the potential for my local area.  The southern cell diving into the high cape of southeast Iowa has been very robust, but around Cedar Rapids up toward Dubuque it's just a smattering of weak to garden-variety cells.  Can't win 'em all.

Strongest storms in se IA moving into IL around Burlington presently are warned for 70 mph winds, which seems to be the maximum I've seen with this episode.   Am wondering about cells out in front around LaSalle county, one of which was svr warned as they move se.   At the very least it looks like more flooding rains for the battered Iroquois River basin.

Wound up on the southern edge of the morning convection and northern edge in the evening, picked up a half inch of rain.  It looks like cyclone will whiff completely as the MCS dives to his south.

Hoping to shoot some lightning a bit later.  Hoping for some anvil crawlers on the back side.  Those are usually pretty cool with these departing MCSs.
