FUNNEL CLOUDS MAY DEVELOP EARLY THIS AFTERNOON ALONG A WEAK
FRONTAL BOUNDARY FROM CRAWFORDSVILLE TO LEBANON...FISHERS AND NEAR
NEW CASTLE. THE FUNNELS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO REACH THE GROUND.

A FUNNEL WAS REPORTED NEAR LEBANON AT 1130 AM.

THE LEBANON FUNNEL FORMED WITHIN A RAIN SHOWER UPDRAFT FED BY
NORTHEAST WINDS ON ITS NORTH SIDE AND SOUTHWEST WINDS ON ITS SOUTH
SIDE. THESE OPPOSITE DIRECTION WINDS ARE CREATING WEAK SPIN ALONG
THIS BOUNDARY AND MAY PRODUCE MORE FUNNELS EARLY THIS AFTERNOON.

Nice, I was just eyeballing the colors. Gets a little blurry at that range :D

 

I just put a tarp over my container garden - my tomatoes are already looking sad from being so wet.

 

Since LAF low balls rainfall, I think we should do an over/under for your rain gauge. I'm setting it at 3.00" storm total. And I'll take the over.

Some of the hi-res models are trying to pick up on convection across north central and northeast Ohio late tonight into early Saturday on the nose of decent low-mid level theta-e advection and beneath good large scale ascent thanks to upper level divergence. With a few hundred J/KG of MUCAPE that could be possible. If that occurs things would get pretty bad around here I think. If we avoid widespread convection late tonight into early Saturday, a dry slot may save us from seeing the widespread, excessive totals that are possible and keep any flooding issues more minor. We shall see.
