dailylurker
Ligit storm here in Greenbelt. Best I've seen in some time. Nice strong wind gust as the gust front blasted in. Now lots of lightning and even some small hail. Loving it lol.

jnis
Pretty meh in Montgomery. Got one public report of dime sized hail in Damascus and a "scary looking cloud" in Wheaton. IAD recorded a wind gust to 64 mph. I'm just north of Damascus and thought I heard a few pings, but that was short lived. Mostly heavy rain with a wind gust of maybe 25mph. I think just north of Laytonsville may have seen a little more action.
Eskimo Joe
I'm just north of Damascus and thought I heard a few pings, but that was short lived. Mostly heavy rain with a wind gust of maybe 25mph. I think just north of Laytonsville may have seen a little more action. The hail signature only appeared for about two or three frames on the radar and the VIL density never really got all that impressive. Had two reports of dime sized hail from a co-worker and spotter respectively in Damascus. Both reports were of hailstones pea to dime sized that were clear with no core. Fairfax County is the winner today it seems.

olafminesaw
So, IAD's 64mph gust came from the east? That's odd, maybe a downstream microburst? I noticed that the wind came from the East at times, as well as a downward motion in the most intense gusts, so you may be right.
