Some garden variety stuff has developed just to the WSW. 

 

Maybe we can still at least get some cracks of thunder and lightning.

 

I was outside earlier this afternoon and you could really feel the inflow of warm air/moisture. 

It might be starting to develop more northward now, hopefully it can hold together on it's trek down 94. But yeah, looks like any severe threat is squashed already.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHICAGO HAS ISSUED A  

 

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...  

NORTHERN NEWTON COUNTY IN NORTHWESTERN INDIANA...  

NORTHERN JASPER COUNTY IN NORTHWESTERN INDIANA...  

 

* UNTIL 545 PM CDT  

 

* AT 456 PM CDT...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE  

EXTENDING FROM FOREST CITY TO ROSELAWN TO NEAR  

CONRAD...ACCELERATING EAST AT 40 MPH.  

 

THESE ARE VERY DANGEROUS STORMS.  

 

HAZARD...80 MPH WIND GUSTS.  

 

SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED.  

 

IMPACT...FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT  

SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE HEAVILY DAMAGED. EXPECT  

CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE TO ROOFS...WINDOWS AND VEHICLES.  

EXTENSIVE TREE DAMAGE AND POWER OUTAGES ARE LIKELY.
