I wish there was some way we could get out of this recent dry pattern.

Yup, looking like the summer of 1993 again.

He better be glad he doesn't live in Sumter county south of Sumter. Some spots there have picked up as little as .01. Imagine how bad it would be here. None of that blue comes even close to Jonesville.

If that keeps up, instead of a summer 0f 1993 redux, its gonna be a redux of TX/OK May 2015 redux.

Brookland-Cayce is my old high school. Go Bearcats.......

My Nephew graduated a few years ago from BC and my Niece graduates from there tomorrow   :D

In other news....mby has not had a quarter of what CAE has recorded these past 4 days....imagine that   :P

CAE's FB Page.....

So far this month, in less than 4 full days, the Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) has received 5.85 inches of rain. This is already over the normal amount for the entire month of June of 4.69 inches. It also exceeds the total rainfall received at CAE during the months of April and May this year combined of 5.74 inches.

My step-son graduated from Elementary school yesterday. I graduated from BC in 1993. :lmao: .

I estimate my June total somewhere between 4 and 5 inches, some area in Lexington county have 7 day estimates of up to 10 inches :flood: . My brother said it was really bad last night in West Columbia. They had power crews and tree guys on his street, and he heard almost constant sirens from the Saluda River.  Meanwhile, some areas in Sumter County have had less than .10.

Today's GaWx Walking Index is a 7. Skies are beautifully sunny. Temperatures this evening will be in the low to mid 70's. Dewpoints are in the pretty decent low 60's. Winds are unfortunately very light, however. So, the Sweat Index is still moderate. There's no rain expected. Any light amounts of mud from late yesterday's moderate showers should have largely dried and standing water should be essentially nil on the paths. So, I'm looking forward to an enjoyable walk shortly. :)

Today's Walking Index is down from yesterday's semi-delightful 7 to a 6 due to a Sweat Index that has increased to moderately high. This is due to temp.s' that are about 5 degrees warmer. Otherwise, things are similar and should make for a decent walk.
