sparklecity
It's never going to rain more than .25 or more, in one day again in Jonesville and no storms either! Lolzzzz I went to go pull up data from a weather station in Jonesville and there aren't any. I'll be interested to see if they got a quarter inch. Looks like it is starting to fall apart on radar though.
jshetley
We got .15 while places less than 5 miles away got over 1 inch. The beat goes on in upstate SC. It may sound like a troll post, but I know my area well. When this kind of no or little rain pattern starts it takes something crazy to stop it. GSP's 80% did verify, but the slight to advanced risk for severe certainly did not. That outlook my very well verify in the CAE area and probably already has in the Raleigh CWA though. frazdaddy
2.62 for the day and still pouring.
calculus1
Picked up .007 , weak sauce! Atleast I can enjoy some cooler weather! The plants are still dying, but we will have only mid 80s, get out the hoodie and the pot belly stove! Did you get a new rain gauge, Mack? You're measuring to the nearest thousandth now?! yotaman
Picked up .17" for the day so far. Will see if that big line out west makes it here.
Solak
1.15" yesterday. With the intensity of some of the showers and storms, I really thought we had reeled in a lot more than that.
Solak
Pleasant morning out there! You can actually feel the humidity dropping. Earlier today it was still muggy, now it's refreshing!
mackerel_sky
It's a beautiful day outside, for sure ! About 84 and 30% humidity! I guess that will quickly dry out all the rain I DIDN'T get yesterday and more mid 90s by the middle of the week, after more drenching rains! This summer is amazing and it's only just begun!! kvegas-wx
A quick thanks to mother nature for my one day sanity check. Four hours of mowing today and didnt even break a sweat. I could live with a summer exactly like this......every day! Hoping for a 59 tonight in the triad.
yotaman
Beautiful summer day here today. Had a high of only 87. Can't believe that I think 87 is nice. Even the dew point has actually dropped below 70 for the first time in 3 weeks. Temp currently sitting at 78, dew point 69. Forecasted low is mid 60's. we will see. shaggy
After some blistering temps last week here at work (got to 96 inside the building) its really quite comfortable tonight. Very very nice evening out there with no humidity

Solak
Really got muggy tonight... DP went from 59 at 5:00 to 70 at 6:30. Silly me waited until 7:15 to do today's mowing... I'm dripping wet! DP now 72 -- mower is parked for the night.
Solak
4.78" for June... 17 days w/o any precip, 3 days with a trace. Sure didn't seem that wet, though.
yotaman
If nothing falls today then we end up with 6.37 for the month. We did have a 2 week stretch of dry weather in there. Overall I'm happy with those numbers.
sparklecity
Little blob of convection moving through NE GA currently. Let's see if we can avoid the disappearing act as it enters SC. Just looked at the GSP forecast and we've been bumped up to 60% tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed! sbcape: 1500-2000 mucape: 1000-2000 dcape: 1200 sfc-6k bulk shear: 30 kt
sparklecity
Well, there goes the severe storm plunging south and no longer taking aim at mby. I need to quit hogging the rain shield and pass it off to someone else Edit: Now under a watch and 80% pops. Kiss of death. Everything that was entering the northern upstate has fallen apart or sunk south.
sparklecity
Looks like this one is going to shetley and is going to be yet another near miss for me unless there is more development further north. Maybe I will be able to get a decent storm sometime in a few months when the seasons start changing.
jshetley
Storms missed this area again. We got .14 from some light rain. It'll be October or November I guess before we get a good rain here again.
mackerel_sky
.14 more than 0!
sparklecity
I would gladly take 0.14". It's amazing how often I manage no measurable rainfall when I have 80% pops. People should plan there outdoor events here. This is the spot to be for dry weather.

sparklecity
Pretty funny we are still under a watch and have 50% pops tonight. Holding onto that last shred of hope I guess. I won't be surprised when we don't get any rain all week. I'm sure others in the upstate will get plenty of rain, but sure as hell not in mby. The most I can hope for is to get fringed or some stratiform rain.
