pcbjr
86º is your normal for June. 95º in June is equivalent to 60º in January. I'm pretty sure you would be calling 60º in January a torch. I pray for 60 ... (after a thunderstorm and near dusk)

Snowless in Carrollton
It's hard to believe that it's still technically spring. Highs in the 90s every day for the next week doesn't exactly feel like spring....

Snowless in Carrollton
Yet again, Atlanta managed to not hit 90. That's at least the 5th time in the last month Atlanta has reached 89. Maybe tomorrow will finally break 90.

Maybe tomorrow will finally break 90. Be thankful. A 1,000 ft elevation in the SE US is a good thing for a major SE city.

Brick Tamland
The sharks are going crazy off the NC coast. Two major attacks at Oak Island today. A teenage boy and girl attacked within hours, both losing limbs. This after an attack a couple of days ago not too far away.

Over 5000 sharks were caught and killed off the coast during the same period.

Cold Rain
^ Not sure what it's trying to do along the coast with the 113 reading, but the downsloping maxes, while probably overdone, are believable in placement, given the direction of the flow. I've been on the SC coast during heat waves (Huntington Beach). The temp stays a little lower (than inland areas) but the dew points can run in the low 80s. Sounds like a road trip is in order. J.C.
Umm, if these long range forecasts are right, never in my 27 years of living in this region have I seen anything like this. There is going to be a lot of deaths out of this.
superjames1992
My NWS forecast has nonstop mid to upper 90s for the next seven days. Awesome. Let's go for the hottest summer on record. Might as well make something notable if it's going to be a blast furnance.
