CT Rain
How come the mets at your station didn't forecast rain/ cold/washout on Friday ? Instead sun and 84. Interesting I have no idea - I've been off. Stuff changes.
OceanStWx
Yup - that's for sure. Spending a week in Narragansett starting the 4th. Would like some nice weather though I'm thinkng we may have some issues. Favorite beach spot of mine. But it does look like a bit of yo-yo to the forecast, so some stinkers in between some COC. A bar crawl or 2 in KUUU in between beach days is fine by me.
IsentropicLift
I certainly wouldn't be raining out an entire day on July 3 based on a precarious op run. I'd say a chance of a shower/ storm Nobody is calling for a washout but the threat is definitely there. Forecasting a chance of a shower/storm when you have a chance at widespread heavy rains is not properly informing the public. A chance of rain, say 40-50% is fine at this stage. I've seen like 5-7 all day rain events in June alone. This pattern could certainly do it. Heck it just did it yesterday.

You are going to have to accept that your Met degree, knowledge and experience simply do not match up to someone who spends all of his days scouring the net to search for posts/tweets that support his weather wishes. moneypitmike
I will never see 80 this summer Sarah Wroblowski on NESN...ftw The Pit hit 80.3* on June 12th, I had 15 days where I failed to hit 70.0* (today will be #16) and of course we had the ludicrously cool days on June 1, 2, and 28. 7.06" of rain. One helluva way to run a summer.
