June gloom or glory? Pattern discussion moving into the first month of met summer

How come the mets at your station didn't forecast rain/ cold/washout on Friday ? Instead sun and 84. Interesting

Yup - that's for sure. 

Spending a week in Narragansett starting the 4th. Would like some nice weather though I'm thinkng we may have some issues.

But it does look like a bit of yo-yo to the forecast, so some stinkers in between some COC.

I'm fine with that. A bar crawl or 2 in KUUU in between beach days is fine by me.

I certainly wouldn't be raining out an entire day on July 3 based on a precarious op run. I'd say a chance of a shower/ storm

Nobody is calling for a washout but the threat is definitely there. Forecasting a chance of a shower/storm when you have a chance at widespread heavy rains is not properly informing the public. A chance of rain, say 40-50% is fine at this stage.

I've seen like 5-7 all day rain events in June alone. This pattern could certainly do it. Heck it just did it yesterday.

The Pit hit 80.3* on June 12th, I had 15 days where I failed to hit 70.0* (today will be #16) and of course we had the ludicrously cool days on June 1, 2, and 28.
