As for IND, June 12 is the median first 90˚ day (airport era since 1943)...so pretty much on schedule.

I noticed the 18z NAM text output has 3 consecutive days of 89 for us...that would really grind my gears but I guess I shouldn't really care anymore since my days in this place are limited.

So, what airport are you gonna go with for temps when you head north? GYY? IGQ? Home thermometer totally exposed to the sun?  :P

A very comfortable night outside. Nice picture Cyclone. I saw the exact same thing, but from a little farther away.

Nice!  Pretty cool seeing it from a different perspective.

Outflow from the southern storms have kicked off a few small storms that are trying to get in here.  Have been out shooting some distant lightning the past hour or so.

DET's high (either 88*F or 89*F?) is even more impressive considering it was in the low 70s at 11am thanks to another round of t'storms and how high the dewpoints are.

Amazing atmospheric mixing...

BTW, I know michsnowfreak won't be too fond of that intra-hour 90*F high.

Its a tough one, because days like yesterday would be aggravating for me if we hit the intra hour 90, but probably even more aggravating for you if the high was 89 lol. I dont mind an intra hour 90 when an hourly temp was 89 with several 88s. What I cant stand is when the intra hour high is 3-4F higher than any hourly temp. Like there is always some mysterious heat bubble sitting ONLY over DTW and always in between hours. Id say 4 out of 5 days the high at DTW is intra hour and maybe 1 out of 5 the low is intra hour. Its just a very suspicious little quirk to me.
