Late Saturday night/Sunday morning may be the best shot at a decent thunderstorm my area has had all season.  The timing is such that they may be on the wane a bit when they reach eastern Iowa, but models still suggest a good complex moving through.  Any garden-variety storm would be a big step up from what we've seen this spring.

Trained down this afternoon for some nuptuals tonight near south end of Lincoln Park. Walked up from Clark/Division subway around 5 p.m. and foggy bottom in full effect. At one point almost mistook the occasional mild street level fog for smoke. Then before reception skies broke for decent sun.

Got the hotel room ac running at 68 now.

Love that lakefront.

That is the Chicago River?  I would assume that is slow no wake?  You don't see bass boats buzzing through there at 80mph throwing 50ft rooster tails?  Pretty water.  Mississippi Is mud around here.  Not much clarity.  If you get on the Black River its a little better, but the water is stained.

Its like everyday all i hear is lawnmowers.

Heavy rain wording has been added in the grid for tomorrow.

Awesome day today. Couldn't get much better. High of 63° with full sun all day.

Took this pic of the high clouds moving in about 7:30.
