This may be shattered...

Wettest months on record for Fort Wayne (records since 1897):

1) 11.00" in July 1986

2) 10.17" in May 2011

3) 10.09" in August 1926

4) 9.87" in September 1902

5) 9.80" in July 2003

6) 9.72" in January 1950

7) 9.69" in August 2007

8) 9.26" in October 1954

9) 8.99" in June 2015 (thru 6/25)

And this has been broken. FWA has recorded an additional 2.41" since yesterday (thru 8:00 AM today) to bring the June 2015 total to 11.40".

EDIT: 0.16" more from 8:00 to 9:00 AM...so make that 2.57" and 11.56".

That's pretty incredible!

Down to 44 again this morning but should top out in the low 70's under full sun and light winds.  Perfect day to be outside getting some chores done!

A couple of the cooler location hit the upper 30's again.

RECORD EVENT REPORT

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTHERN INDIANA

840 PM EDT THU JUNE 25 2015

...RECORD JUNE MONTHLY RAINFALL BROKEN AT FORT WAYNE...

FORT WAYNE RECORDED 0.37 INCHES OF RAINFALL TODAY. THIS BRINGS THE

MONTHLY RAINFALL TOTAL TO 8.92 INCHES...WHICH BREAKS THE ALL TIME

JUNE MONTHLY RAINFALL RECORD OF 8.55 INCHES SET IN 2000. ADDITIONAL

RAINFALL IS EXPECTED THIS WEEK.

< 9 inches seems low for an all-time June record.  I've had more June rainfall than that four times in the last nine years.

Looks and feels like late April at best outside. Had it not been for a midnight high of 69, DTW would probably stay under the record low max of 65 today.

EDIT: Although I love weather like this ( <3 1992 and 2009 for life) it is just rather crap for the many, many outdoor activities people tend to have planned for the pre-4th weekend this time of year - weddings, graduation parties, barbecues, camping, etc.

KTOL has jumped up to it's 4th wettest June, with 7.09" through 8PM today. This leaves TOL 0.77" short of 2nd place, and just under 1.5" away from the all-time June record of 8.48" set in 1981.

KTDZ has received 4.7" of rain today, with RA+ still falling as of this post.

Monday certainly has the potential to help cut into the remaining departure.

Apparently, the power went out for awhile and screwed up the FWA ASOS readings. So, after coordinating with the manual readings from the 8" gauge, they adjusted the rain total. However:

A foot of water in a month. Wow. That'd be on the wet side for the whole summer.

Storm total imby 1.51", significantly more than DTW's 0.98" (though DTW was already running ahead of me).

June total rainfall so far has been 5.13" imby and 5.27" at DTW. So while its certainly above normal, its not the record amounts just to our west and southwest. This is the 15th wettest June at Detroit so far.

14 days this June have had measurable precip. The monthly record is 18 days, set in 1902 & 1969. For comparison, the record lowest was 3 days in 1988. I think this Junes most noteworthy feature has been the amount of overcast.

Another great day. Currently 70° and hazy sunny skies. Another cool morning at 49°.

Sorry to hear about all the cool rain and clouds further east. Sucky weather for the summer, especially that it landed on the weekend.
