^Wow, that looks murky lol.

Kind of feel bad for the MI peeps, as we're having a pretty summerlike day out this way with lots of sun and temps in the 80s.  Dews are a little lofty, but that will make the pool feel even better later on.

That's what happens when you're surrounded by lake waters that have temps well below normal to date.

Turned out to be a decent day after all once the stratocumulus lifted into the SCT-BKN CU field.

Even overachieved in temps ever so slightly. DET currently sits at 84*F. IT was muggy too when I was out earlier. Definitely felt more like mid-June.

Summer Solstice sun angle FTW!!!

Models look a little death ridgey in the extended, though less vulnerable to it with northward extent.

lol...it's gonna get pretty warm if not downright hot...there's good model agreement on that.  Maybe it won't last too long but I'd be pretty surprised if LAF avoids the 90s this time.

:(

At one point while chasing the big sup earlier I got out of the vehicle, and while standing there looking north at the raging meso I remember thinking this is exactly how it feels after stepping outside the shower into the steamed up bathroom.  Felt like I was in the tropics.  You gotta love that we can experience stuff that tropical in the summer, and in the winter we get a taste of what it's like to live in the arctic north at times.  Midwest weather is just the best.

Picked up 2.15" of rain last night along with an epic two hour light show. I'm sitting at 70 with 99% humidity this morning.

I don't do rain totals, so thanks for the info.   That was one intense storm this morning.   Need to go up into our attic and see how we got a kitchen leak.  I am thinking that the wind drove the heavy rain right up under our shingles at the junction of our garage roof and the side of our house.  Don't see any shingles on the ground,

Was an interesting day yesterday.   A high of 70, and could almost could feel humidity.  Was just on the outside of a severe thunderstorm watch to the south.  A small storm rolled in around 630 and dropped .37 in about 10 min.

A pic from before the storm.  The northern lights were a 10 last night before the clouds moved back in.  The best I have ever seen.

You're welcome! :)

70 degrees with 56 dewpoint imby this hour. It is feeling pretty chilly compared to yesterday with the 6-8mph breeze from the NW.

with a 1/3 of met summer almost over, June has shaped up to be a pretty uneventful, almost boring month.

To date, my averages are 67/44.  The coolest morning low was 28 and warmest 52.  The warmest high was 75 and the coolest one was 53.  Not much rain has fallen, only 1.58".  Just not much to talk about.  Oh, there has been 3 claps of thunder as well.

The woods are very lush and green. the thick canopy and routine thick morning fogs have kept the woods damp despite not having a lot of rain.
