AvantHiatus
a 9 degree diurnal range with a low of 84 is insane. the dewpoint must have been near or above 80 This is something I recognized the last few years. Especially down here when the bay gets super warm in late July-August some years. It is coming earlier than usual this year.

IsentropicLift
High res NAM brings in the Rains by mid-afternoon on Saturday, this is all before the main batch which gets going Saturday night. Makes sense given that the warm front should be in close proximity.

uncle W
a 9 degree diurnal range with a low of 84 is insane. the dewpoint must have been near or above 80 that happened twice that year...the only thing I can think of is there was smog/smokey conditions at that time...wasn't Central park a tent city around that time?... bluewave
that happened twice that year...the only thing I can think of is there was smog/smokey conditions at that time...wasn't Central park a tent city around that time?... The warm minimums coincided with the rapid expansion of the heat island from 1900-1910. There were quite a few top three highest minimums between 1900-1910. The NYC population tripled from 1890-1910. 1890...1.5 million 1910...4.7 million

UnionWeatherWx
Perfect set up for heavy rains with a closed low to the west over OH Valley and a high pressure to the northeast. Yep, the question now is where the heavy rains set up. Will there be any convection issues?
