Yeah, 1945 rebounded from the 55 high on the 5th to 92 on the 14th.

This year Newark was 57 on the 2nd and 93 on the 11th. So it was

still a week 1 cool to end of week 2 warm.

1945 had a very cold January...the warmest March on record...the coldest first ten days of June...eight days 90 or higher starting on the 13th...97 on the 30th...

June 8th 1947 had a max of 56...June 12th 1947 had a max of 90...There are many other years with low max's in June and then had a max 90 or higher a few days later...

HRRR about to goof for third time this week?   Says a cluster of storms SW of NYC for 1pm, but radar has nothing now.

if you follow one model's explicit forecasts for convection all the time you're bound to find a bunch of wrong forecasts
