Isotherm
Latest JMA weeklies have the warmest period up front: Days 3-9, trending to near normal for week 2, then the trough is back in the Northeast for weeks 3-4 which would be June 25th-July 9th. At this point I tend to agree with it. The global pattern doesn't support the longer-term maintenance of a mean ridge in the Eastern US.
IsentropicLift
Still socked into the clouds up here. Probably why most of the high res models keep the best storm activity further South.

Some people (myself included) do enjoy the heat, just as some enjoy the cold, or cloudiness, rain, etc. It isn't even hot hot today, this is normal summer weather. 82 and somewhat hazy, I'm having doubts about 90, but then again it was never forecasted to go beyond the upper 80's here today. I enjoy the heat in the summer almost equally as much as snow in the winter. As i get older the cold isnt as appealing but Ill never lose the thrill of tracking and experiencing snow storms. To me spring/fall are my least favorite seasons. I find its not worth arguing with people about their preferences - to each his own. Upto 88 here. Will be the 3rd 90+ day and first of June if clouds holf off.

Isotherm
I dont live in a city..smells beautiful here There's a code orange for the entire area today. http://www.weather.gov/phi/ Has little relevance to city / rural; the atmospheric conditions are favorable for trapping ozone and particulate matter near the ground today. CIK62
The earlier HRRR runs showed us (NYC) being clobbered near 2:45pm but now show nothing at all at that time and are indicating a little something after 5pm. This model goofed Tues. too. Is it really experimental and not an operational entity?
