TheManWithNoFace
What do you mean a dud? It was obvious that the line was weakening significantly as it was approaching NJ after departing Allentown I mean that for a part of the state that was in a tornado watch and a severe thunderstorm warning an hour before a line of storms with a threatening radar signature arrived, that it underperformed. bluewave
It's just a point-and-shoot. Nikon S9700. The sweep panorama feature on that is nice.

NycStormChaser
The sweep panorama feature on that is nice. It has good burst shot mode, at 5 shots a second but the ISO is poor so it's best to use it for daytime lightning shots not night time
Allsnow
Another day with rain here in Edison, since June 1st it has rained here all but one days so far.
LongBeachSurfFreak
Wow that squall line really ate it. Shoul rain all the way out on to the island though as there is some nice strataform rain behind the initial convection
Santa Claus
Very heavy rain and some really strong gusts but hardly one or two rumbles of thunder.

SnoSki14
It would be quite a feat if the month still had a positive departure after such a cool start.
SACRUS
It would be quite a feat if the month still had a positive departure after such a cool start. I think of Jan 2005 as one of the biggest turn arounds ever from extreme positive through 1/15 (+ 8.9) then sharply and decisively to negative, ending below -2.1 . bluewave
Warm Mays with cool June starts from the analog list 97 - deeply negative through the 9th 93: decently negative through the 8th 87 : Unc/anyone having issue with old data - how was this year in June This is looking like the biggest June warm up after a cool first week since 1997 or 1993. It's interesting that both those Junes featured developing El Nino patterns. So developing El Nino Junes don't always turn out with a stronger cool anomaly like 2009. June 1987 started out warm with a 93 on the first day of the month and finished +1.4. NYC June 1-7......monthly temperature departure 2015...-7.6....? 2009...-3.0...-3.7 2003...-6.7...-2.8 1998...-6.0...-2.4 1997...-8.2...-0.7 1993...-4.6..+1.
