bluewave
I got in on that quick fall off in rainfall from JFK east, but it was better than nothing. You could see the outflow and redevelopment stalling just to the west of Nassau with the training cells on Sunday. This was just a bit more of an extreme version of what can be a typical rainfall pattern here. But it least for the LI crew this wasn't snow. bluewave
Amazing im about 6, 7 miles from there and I've had well over 3 inches Yeah, that's the nature of convection. But it's a more extreme version of the NY Bight rainfall pattern that we often see.

Brian5671
That's a bold assumption. it is. While we are cool and sunny next 3-5 days after today, there's no guarantee the rest of the month will remain cool and I don't see any monster rain events or long duration rain events on the models today (I'm sure someone will now post a 300 hr prog showing 6 inches of rain in NYC)
