eekuasepinniW
Severe warning here in Littleton. Very dark sky to the west. A few rumbles of thunder already Good luck up there. That storm looks brutal.
weatherwiz
Interesting to see the models, ESPECIALLY the 18z NAM, really slow the fropa tomorrow. The GFS would keep strong t'storm potential tomorrow late morning into afternoon across eastern CT/RI and far SE MA while the 18z NAM would highlight much of SNE. Damage In Tolland
Hope so Wiz. I'd like to see some evidence of a line or MCS developing by 8:00. Otherwise the goose may be cooked . Still plenty of time to evolve

moneypitmike
Man, is it dark. Like 8:45 dark. Dead calm, just distant rumbles still. Weathertap lightning tracker has the first strikes entering Franklin County. 25 mph should be here in about 20 minutes or so.
weatherwiz
Hope so Wiz. I'd like to see some evidence of a line or MCS developing by 8:00. Otherwise the goose may be cooked . Still plenty of time to evolve 8:00 is a good timeframe...maybe even 9:00. With these nocturnal events though sometimes you just have no clue. Not very often do we see MLcape values exceeding 1500-2000 J/KG well after dark and steep lapse rates. We will certainly lose some of the instability we have in place but not a tremendous amount. All we just need is some better forcing/support to push closer...that's what we're lacking at the moment. I am nervous no doubt b/c many times the forcing/support stay north but it is good we aren't getting crap into CT b/c we aren't getting any overturning. eire015
I had pea sized hail for a few minutes. The winds were not too impressive maybe 30 mph or so. But the shelf cloud had very impressive motion along as it came across. Lots of lightning! Best storm of the season so far.
