Down here in Ayer ...took a walk to a clearing amid the torrid breezes gently swaying trees with leaves turned over and searing sun drowning eyes in stinging sweat ... and snapped off several photos with my iPhone that featured the complete life cycle of over-shooting updraft dome ..rising then falling back down into the anvil. Visible some 70 miles away. Unfortunately, I can't seem to render them off this iPhone. It's annoying ... I never had this problem until I updated to their latest OS.. I swear they did that onpurpose so that now you have to buy and app (conveniently) that allows you to move photos to other mediums. douche bags

moneypitmike
It's tornadic ... Go chase, safely - Very impressive. Clearly, that will be passing south of here and probably any chances of a storm north of route 2 will go with it.

Typhoon Tip
I was referring to the cell that recently formed just north of Albany. Ah, yeah...that looks like cell splitting to me... It seems to have severed off the backside of the supercell and is now ripping out NE of it. Watch that one too! This whole region from the Berks E in SNE is primed. I realize the right turn out west is disappointing folks, but we've been heating unabated now for several hours since the mid deck scooting on passed, and now it's 88 to 93 with DP over 70 pretty much everywhere. This is also a rare(ness) type scenario where the shear is rotated around the dial, such that we don't have S/Shore contamination working N to choke things off. We'll have to see how the region responds to subtle mechanical lift as eastern GL trough nosed through NYS near dark. That stuff coming into western NY can be visualized coalescing into an MCS as previously discussed around.
Guvna
to me....looks like an MCS is trying to develop. Storms racing East towards the Albany storm and most likely consolidating.
