Look at Satellite. Low clouds eroding near the New England border now and CU popping in the Catskills.

As soon as the low clouds move out..we're left with CU and debris..hope you are right..but I've seen this way too many times to think anything much will happen east of say HVN to Springfield line. These clouds always take forever to erode and then you're left with big storms over the Hudson Valley and NW Ct that move NE and we are left with dying showers and a rumble from a lightning bolt over Litchfield

Had some breaks here but clouds are predominant now. Looks like DIT may have the right idea about this thing fizzling out.

You could see it on sat earlier. There wasn't going to be much clearing. Most of us are still mostly cloudy. A peek or 2 of sun isn't destabilizing anything . Tons of low clouds racing south to north tells us too much south flow. Your area might be ok though

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning

at 249 PM EDT... severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from Cohoes to near Kinderhook... moving northeast at 40

mph.

Hazard... 70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable

tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to Mobile

homes... roofs and outbuildings.
